ADITI
She is Devamatri, (Mother of the celestial gods), as from and in her cosmic matrix all the heavenly bodies were born. CHANDRA
He is young and beautiful and rides his chariot, ( the moon), across the sky every night, pulled by ten white horses or an antelope. He is connected with dew, and as such he is one of the Gods of fertility.

DURGA
She is one who can redeem in situations of utmost distress, a supremely radiant Goddess. She is depicted as having ten arms, riding a Tiger or a Lion, carrying weapons, maintaining a meditative smile and practising mudra's or symbolic hand gestures, and wears shiny attire emitting fierce rays.

He was associated with evil, the chief of all evil creatures living in darkness. His skin is white and he has three legs and only eight teeth.
